A gold star sticker on lined paper with WELL DONE written next to it in black ink.So, what's going right for you at the moment? Is a story coming together, do you have some good ideas, are the words showing up? What's good?

sob why is it so difficult to think of what's going good atm...? My writing slump has only gotten deeper this week.

But at least I do have some ideas of what I'd like to do, when I have the beans to do the actual writing. And there's a pairing that has taken over my heart with its warm honeymoon feelings and makes me feel silly and giddy at times; and when I can get it together writing them is really fun.

And I managed to get my hands on a book that's really important to my research (in digital format so I can highlight things as I like :D).

I got a new printer/scanner/copier last week, so I've been cackling maniacally while I print things off lately. And then I highlight! And paperclip! And file in my pretty new file box with carefully labeled folders!

Next week I get to put shelves up in my sewing closet so I can organize all my sewing stuff. Because that's the other thing that's distracted me from writing: My flooded basement sewing room. Sigh.

Anyway, I get to use the stud finder. Let's focus on the positives.

ohhh nice, a new printer is a great thing. Mine has pretty much run out of ink so I just use it to scan.;; But that's also useful when maps/images are involved.

I had to switch focus to a research project for my other hobby, so I haven't been writing much fiction. But I did acquire a book that will help me with research on the steampunk project and did ILL requests for some others to help with the non-writing research project and am kind of regretting I did not check out another on Victorian people's relationships to their bodies and medicine. Oh, well. I bet it will be there when I go back!

I also did some research on traumatic head injuries, so as to avoid having an unrealistic portrayal of a concussion. No hopping right back on his feet for my character! Of course, his leg's also broken, so that was unlikely to happen in the first place, but he's going to have a hell of a headache, too.
